Separation Anxiety?

It has arrived... That stage when your baby is anxious when you leave the room or move out from her sight. THat time when she gets clingy and doesn't want anyone else but you... I love it!! I love it because I feel so flattered that my baby wants me!! Every time I leave the room, or even get up to go somewhere, she will start crying and wiggle her arms at me, wanting me to pick her up...

My poor baby. SHe is actually traumatised by the hospital experience that she gets scared every time someone is with her, or just the fact that I am not there... I pray that it won't be long before her courage is restored. She is actually a very friendly baby, but now, she is scared... My poor baby... Mummy will be home soon, sayang...

My Baby's Got a Boo-Boo...

Since Friday on the 8th of June, Aleesya has felt a bit hot, as in feverish. Her old Nanny said that she thinks Aleesya might be catching something. In fact, I have asked Hubby so many times if he thinks she's hot. Cause every time I put my palm to her forehead, it's hot. True enough, that weekend, her fever broke out. Her nose started running, her temperature shot up and she started coughing too. We had to go to Ipoh that weekend, and the hot weather did not help her condition.

The following week, we gave her the meds we got from the specialist previously, and continued giving her the orange fever meds. Her condition did not show any signs of improvement, so we took her to the clinic. The doctor just gave more fever, flu and cough meds. After a week of spiking fevers, we took her to the clinic again. Thank God this time it was Dr Khalid. He gave antibiotics and took Baby's blood for a lab test, to check if she has viral infection. Apart from that, she started wheezing and the doctor said what we hoped never to hear, she has asthma.

Her first neubalizer was traumatic for her. She squirmed throughout and kept looking up at me with wet, pleading eyes. How it wrenched my heart seeing her in that condition. However, she was still wheezing away, and the doctor said she will have to gas up twice a day.

On Sunday, when we were in Setiawangsa, we got a call from the clinic. The doctor told us to come down, because he got the result of the blood test and wants to talk to us about it. Hearts drumming, we drove straight down and the doctor said he needs to refer Aleesya to a specialist. One, because the blood tested positive for infection. Two, because after ten days, Aleesya's fever has not dissipated despite the meds and antibiotics. Finally, because of her asthma and chesty lungs. Huhuhu... I'm sorry, Baby...

We took her to Tawakkal Hospital and the doctor on call said that she has to be admitted and see the specialist the next day. It was definitely hard for me to hear that but I thought that after feeling so helpless the week before, I'd rather she stay at the hospital until she gets better. But I did not anticipate her getting probed by IV needles!! Hubby told me to go away and not watch while they inserted the needle in her. But I could hear her crying for me and it made me cried right where I was standing... Some nurses looked at me sympathetically.

And then it was done! Hubby called me over, and I picked her up and hugged her tight... I could feel her heart hammering away. I could only imagine the fright and pain she had to endure just minutes before. She looked at me and babbled in a teary voice, as if grieving to me what she had just gone through. I cooed to her, assuring her that Mummy's gonna be there for her, and Bapak is too...

10 minutes later, an orderly showed us to her room. We got a 2-bedded room which has some great privacy. But the night did not end yet... She was given some more gas and medicines before I could settle her in. She was still feverish, so I tucked her under the blankets. And guess who showed up after that? Wan, Tok Zak, Pakngah, Mama and Abg Nuqman!! Nuqman was asleep the entire time in his stroller though, so Aleesya didn't get to play with him. But they came back the next night and the kids had a blast!!

I'm gonna try to account her experience there day by day while I still remember them. But mostly, it was heartwarming being able to fulfil my responsibility as a mother to my beloved little angel. I am now complete. And thank you, God, for healing my baby... She is now getting so much better... Alhamdulillah. Praise to YOU, Almighty... ♥

Me = 31

Today, I add the number1 in front of the number 3... Yup! Me and Syeela have officially turned 31 today!! I feel so sad coz I am getting older faster now. But the best thing is, I have my family!! Since my last birthday, I am now living happily with my beloved husband who loves and worships me. And not just that! God has given me the most beautiful baby girl anyone could ever ask for! I am truly blessed...

Even though today I woke up in the hospital bed beside Aleesya's sleeping form, I know I am the luckiest girl (eh? ok lah... woman) alive because I have family who loves and needs me, friends who are there when I need them and a life to look forward to. God is truly gracious.

Ok, I won't linger on the fact I just turned one year older, so here's my lunch date with my girls from the office at one of my favourite cafes, Sasana Kijang's Cafe! They treated me to a slice of cake that looks too yummy to eat! Thanks for the lunch, babes! Love you guys...

Ms Bluebewwy, it's your turn next month... hehehe...

Me flashing my big 31 y/o smile behind that yummy slice of carrot cheese cake.

Can't resist getting a second dessert, the infamous bread pudding... RM2.50 only... Caya tak?

Yummy cake up close!

Ms Lilyberry and me...

Fad gonna catch up with me next month... wink wink...

Me going for a slimmer angle. Didn't work. That's what you get for posing next to a slimmer girl. Sigh.

My Baby is a Model!

Only 6 months old, and my baby has made the national news!! Hehe, well, actuall, her Nda used her as a model for a choking baby guidance for her newspaper report in PancaSihat in Utusan Mingguan. Originally, she wanted to use Aleesya for the whole process, but on the day of the shooting, we were not available. So they used a baby doll. But they still needed a real baby to show the main position to un-choke (??) a baby. That's where my baby comes in!!

She looks soooo adowable... with her hair clipped, she was just angelic. Well, the following pictures show the whole process, which I think all parents should learn, as it could save their baby's life...

Check it out, and let's learn together...

Is it really Monday?

Never have I felt this refreshed on a Monday... I mean, come on. It's a Monday, I am supposed to feel dreary and droopy. But somehow, my mood matches the sun's shining... This is cool...

Maybe it was attributed to the fact that my husband sent me to work this morning, or that I had such a good night's sleep with Aleesya holding my face... Sigh... I love it when she does that... Either way, the birds were chirping extra today.

Even though bestie Fad is on leave today, I still felt quite alive.

Even the short migraine seems to have gone.

Please God, let the sun keep shining...

But I wouldn't mind a few raindrops, just to cool the weather :P

When you drool over the Internet...

A dear friend is detoxing, and me myself and I am fasting and dieting. But we are both forever groaning and whining how delicious everything looks. We kept googling picture of Japanese buffet and basically anything under the sun. Even plain old KFC made the list.

And then I found this video when finding tips on how to marinade chicken for BBQ. Fad gave me a recipe on Coca Cola Chicken last week when we were supposed to finish up a deadline (LOL!), and it looked scrumptious that we were both salivating from our ears! The only setback was that it has rice wine in it. After a survey, people said that we could substitute that with apple cider vinegar even though it was easy to find.

Still sounded like a hassle. And we were bugging each other to try it first. So it was forgotten in pursuit of other scrumptious looking dishes (not to mention more complicated).

Well, this video, credit to EasyChineseFood, showed an amazingly simple way to prepare this dish. No rice wine needed at all! The only ingredients were soy sauce and plain old Coke. Yupparooni... Simple as zit.

After salivating over this video, I decided to give it a try next week, and bring it to work. Next time, let Fad do the hard ones.

Got a wedding to get through first, and then I will put up our own version of Coca Cola Chicken.

All is well...

Early birthday presents from hubbies!

June has arrived today! It brings great tidings, and... our birthdays! Me and Syeela are gonna be 31 this year, and we feel the weight of the world on our shoulders are crampin' our style... Hehehe... Well, Our Hubs gave us great presents to start the road to being 32 to help ease the emotional and physical stress we have. Yeah, i do mean physical... Fine, I'll say it. We got too much blubber.

For me, I received a slimming package which includes 20 treatments in 5 sessions at Theresa Beauty Slimming Center in Puchong. It was a great deal and I totally cannot wait to get started and flaunt my new figure! Thanks Abang.

Syeela got something she didn't expect though... Nokia Lumia!! Magenta in colour... It was awesome and cool! Ok, I had reservations bout the phone, but it turned out to be really superb! But my heart is set on Galaxy Note already hehe...

Mama picked up her Naza Ria last night from the workshop, and it happened to be in Batu Caves. So they kidnapped me for dinner and I get to play with Syeela's new phone! Mael, you forgot the other twins though...

Anyway, I totally can't wait to use my birthday present... Thanks Abang. You're the best!! Love you! ♥

A Celebration - A Reason to be Joyful

My sister-in-law will finally tie the knot this Saturday morning, and a traditional reception in royal yellow will follow suit. The house is abuzz with the busy preparation. Truthfully, I am not much help, coz I can’t get any leaves.
Aleesya's dress for the Ipoh trip

Anyway, for the wedding, the family is supposed to be wearing the colour peach at Mak’s request. So everyone went out of their way looking for the colour on their attire to go with the theme. I simply borrowed Syeela’s kebaya and bought accessories and new tudung to go with it. I don’t know if I will wear my new 8cm high heeled pumps though. My confidence is waning as we speak.

We got Aleesya an adorable elegant gown of white and pink, and she will match it with her pink Mary Jane which is the cutest. For next week, we got her a casual dress online, but she will still steal the show in it. Bapak got himself matching baju melayu with Aie, who we happened to bump into at Semua House. A brand new capal will go along nicely with it.

Well, I just can’t wait to see Aleesya in her dresses. Hopefully I can get her pictures during the busy day… Can’t wait to make a fuss over her!

"Tony Bobbins" Infomercial Parody

Painful breakups, anyone?

Who hasn't gone through this before? Some are more unlucky than others and cannot deal with the heartache and suffer horribly.

Cheers!! Here's the remedy you are looking for... ☺

Shah Alam Weekend, what a start!!

This morning, around 6.30am, we were all packed and ready to leave for Shah Alam. After lugging down the many (MANY X 100) things for the weekend, we started the car and loaded it up. Aleesya was in her walker in the living room while we attended to the luggage. Once we got everything into the car, we picked up Aleesya so that Bapak can load her walker. It was still dark outside, and we didn't bother with the lights. And then the unthinkable happened...

I smelt something weird around me, but didn't really gave it much thought. Mr. Hubby always said that if I smell something weird "jangan tegur"... But then, I felt something wet and squishy on my hands... OH MY LORD!! My baby pooped on me!! Or she must have pooped in the walker, and being in there made all the poop squished upwards, and I squished it even more!! Great... And it even got on my tudung and cardigan...

I gave a very apologetic look to Mr. Hubs and rushed upstairs, turned on the light and fan with my poopy hands, placed the mat on the bed, and literally just dropped my baby on it and dashed to the bathroom. I cleaned and soaped my hand and also my cardigan, spending 5 minutes in the bathroom, all the while feeling guilty Aleesya is rolling on the bed in her own poop. Mummy's so sorry!!

It was a challenge, but it took me almost 10 minutes to have her smelling like a bed of roses again... All clean!☺☺☺

Finally, after buying some breakfast and fueling up the car, i took the wheel while both my king and princess fell asleep together in the passenger seat... Aww... I kept looking at them and made abrupt brakes and gave Mr. Hubs palpitations. In the end, he had to stay awake to make sure I drive properly... Hehehe, it's been a while since I got behind the wheel, and my licence is still not renewed... Hehehe!! Sorry Abang!

Anyway, good luck for your week at UiTM, Abang! You're the best, that's why they need you there... ☺ With Sultan Selangor there, they only want the best, and that's where you come in... So proud of you, Abang... ♥♥♥

Nak Burger Kaw Kaw!!

I got all these tweets on burger Kaw Kaw of Wangsa Maju, and I tell you, the burgers look absolutely scrumptious!! They look so juicy and fulfilling that you get hungry and full at the same time.

Since I am still on my diet, I might take a cheat day to sample the whopping morsel. Perhaps after a hard day's work moving house. Either way, I can't contain my drool any longer, and it has to be soon. One thing first, to confirm my boyfriend a.k.a. meat lover to try the Triple H...

Yup, this is Triple H, and it costs RM18 ala carte. For a meal set, it will burn RM22 in your pocket, but it could be worth the meal as you get fries, sausage and drinks along with it...

So for now, I will have to sustain myself and keep true to my ridiculous yet quite effective diet. Wonder when Mr. Hubby will start on his...

JuxtaposeD - ♫Sa-Pu10h Sa+u♫

Hubby's new Malay album will be having a soft launch tonight at Frinjan Shah Alam. I love my husband to death and will support him to the end of the world, what more the songs are all beautifully written! I am not a fan of all the band members tho, so I might be a little out of my sparkle tonight.

But I am extremely biased, and will do anything to keep dearest hubby happy. I will bring Aleesya to watch her Dad's live show tonight... Her first concert!! Yay!! I just hope she won't make much of a fuss tonight, and that I will have the energy to keep up at least until JuxtaposeD finishes.

All the best, Abang!! I love you, til the end of time...

Of Sexy Toes and Feet!!

I can't believe I let Fad turned me into a lover of shoes!! Sure I have some decent shoes gathering dust, but I don't usually give much thought into what my slipped feet. Bit by bit, she injected me with this venom by showing me links after links of shoes... one more gorgeous than the next!!

I started becoming excited every time she passed me a new link. What is this feeling, I wonder? Oh no... I am starting to pay attention to shoes!! And am actually going gaga over them!!

Pre-ordered: Will take a month to arrive!

Well, let it be then!! This will be the new me! I hope I will succeed in my weight loss program, so that I can rock the shoes I have fallen in love with. A new look is perhaps just what I need in order to achieve that hot mama title I have been coveting. Renewed confidence, higher self-esteem and regal poise are on my wish list I wish to obtain with my transformation.

Aleesya, Mummy loves you, therefore I will not let you be embarrassed any longer by your dowdy mother. Gambate to me!!

Slim Diet 2 programme debuts on Friday!

It has arrived! Our order of the milk shake Slim Diet 2 has arrived... I will get mine on Friday and will start straight away! We were blown away by testimonials of Mia's Mom's friend, who in only one week lost a whopping 10kg!! Whoa!!

So, we are bucking up our battlefield strength, and planned out our meals, and will start on Friday!!

Since we bought stock for two weeks, we aim to lose 20kg... This may be too much, or not realistic, but a girl can dream and hope right!!?

My Chubby Nyum Nyum!

Lord, how can I resist kissing her every waking moment? Sigh... You always make my day sayang... Thanks to Aunty Afdeza who snapped this... You are a natural with the camera, honey!

Love ya!! Muah muah X 100000!!!
Bad news turned into good news

Woke up at 5.15 this morning... Sat up in bed, kissed Aleesya's yummy cheeks to my heart's content, and tied my hair... The door suddenly opened and hubby walked in, just having arrived home. He looks so tired, yet so happy to see us. Aleesya woke up, we fed her milk... But then she was wide awake... What a lovely way to spend my morning...

Abang had some bad news, and amid my dissatisfaction and concern, ha somehow managed to comfort me and himself that everything is gonna be alright.

I am sorry Abang... Only you can make unwanted news into positive ones. Yes, I do see the light at the end for us. I will remain strong for you and Aleesya. I will do my part to ensure we get what we worked for. You are the light of my life.

Upon arrival at work, I realised that I will miss my family even more with each passing day.

Mummy loves you, Aleesya...

Aleesya
It's been 4 months since Tok Kamal pulled you out from the incision he made on my tummy...
It's been 4 months since I have been blessed by God with the most beautiful baby in my arms...
Since then, you have changed my life, sayang...

I have never that I could die for anyone until I met you...
I have never felt that I could cry every time you lay asleep in my arms until God gave m e you...
I have never felt true happiness, until you have made me a mother...

Aleesya
The smile you give me every time I come home makes me melt inside...
Knowing that your smile is for me makes me feel wanted and flattered...
Yes there were times when both Mummy and Bapak have no idea what to do when you cry non-stop...
But all we know is, we love you with all our hearts,
and would do anything to keep your smile on your face...

I look forward to each day of my life now that you are here...
I know that you will give those little surprises each new day...
I cannot wait for the day when your strong little legs will be running towards me, and with arms wide open,
you call out to me, saying you want me to hold you...
I cannot wait to hear the word MUMMY come from your lips...
I cannot wait for Bapak or your nanny to call me and say my baby misses me and wants to talk to me...

I look forward to the day when you say to me,
I LOVE YOU, MUMMY....

Because Aleesya sayang... Mummy loves you more than life itself...
